BHIC gets three-year extension to service Navy’s helicopters

KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd’s (BHIC) subsidiary BHIC AeroServices Sdn Bhd has received a three-year extension worth an additional RM30.8mil on its in-service support (ISS) contract for six Royal Malaysian Navy’s Fennec AS555SN helicopters.

BHIC told Bursa Malaysia that BHIC AeroServices previously had a three-year contract totaling RM32.4mil, expiring last month, and the consideration under the letter of agreement (LOA) and extended LOA had been revised to RM63.2mil.

The ISS contract extension is effective from Feb 7, 2016.

BHIC AeroServices is a joint venture between BHIC’s unit BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd (51%), Prestige Pillar Sdn Bhd (30%) and Airbus Helicopters Malaysia Sdn Bhd (19%).

BHIC shares were last traded on Monday at RM1.80.

Boustead Heavy Industries Corp gets RM4.8mil naval base job

PETALING JAYA: Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd has received a RM4.8mil contract to the design, construction/adaptation of certain infrastructures of the Royal Malaysian Navy Kota Kinabalu Naval base.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Monday, the company said it got the sub-contract from Trans Resources Corp Sdn Bhd and was formally appointed as the technical assistance and coordination services provider last Friday.

The contract was signed for a period of 12 months, effective from Feb 1, the firm added.

It expected the new job to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2016. (The Star)

Boustead Unit Bags RM92m Mindef Contract

Boustead Holdings Bhd’s unit, Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd has bagged a RM92.43 million contract from the Ministry of Defence Malaysia (Mindef) for the scheduled refit maintenance of a patrol vessel, known as KD Pahang for the Royal Malaysian Navy. 

In a note to the exchange yesterday, the investment holding company said the KD Pahang work will contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2015, and 2016. The written acknowledgment was executed on Sept 17, 2015. (The Malaysian Reserve)

Boustead Secures Royal Malaysian Navy Contract Extension

Boustead Holdings Bhd received a contract extension for the supply and delivery of spare parts, maintenance services and training for the Royal Malaysian Navy’s 23rd Frigate Squadron.

The Company’s subsidiary, Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd, received a Letter of Award on September 3, for a period of two years, until September 9, 2017. The remaining contract value is RM 43,4 million (USD 10 million).

To remind, BNS received the contract from the Ministry of Defence Malaysia in September 2012 at a contract value of RM 70 million (USD 16 million) for a period of three years.

KONGSBERG recently announced that it has received a Letter of Award worth approx. 20 MEUR with Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BN Shipyard) in Malaysia, for NSM (Naval Strike Missile) ships equipment.

BHIC Gets Additional Contract for Submarine Maintenance

KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 - Boustead DCNS Naval Corp Sdn Bhd, a 60 per cent-owned unit of Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC), has received an additional contract with a ceiling value of RM531.2 million from the Malaysian government.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, BHIC said the contract was for the in-service support (ISS) for two units of Prime Minister's class submarines for the Royal Malaysian Navy.

Airbus Helicopters Malaysia and Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Seal Joint Venture Agreement at LIMA 2015

Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (BHIC) signed an agreement to acquire a 30 percent share in the Airbus Helicopters Simulation Center in Malaysia.

This joint venture agreement was signed by BHIC Chairman YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin and Philippe Monteux, Airbus Helicopters Senior Vice President for South East Asia & Pacific region, in the presence of Malaysian Defence Minister Y.B. Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
