Saab Indonesia's Scholarship Has Taken Off


April 27 -- Ten naval officers from the Indonesian Navy were in Sweden this month for a Saab training scholarship program. The officers were undergoing training in Swedish innovation systems and developing capabilities for maritime security in littoral environments. The program is an outcome of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Indonesian Navy signed in February 2015 at the Surabaya Naval base.

Thailand has been among the top 10 markets for Saab over an extended period of time. The company opened its offices in Bangkok in 1998 and has extensive engagement with both defence and civilian sectors of Thailand. With the intent of cementing its long term presence in the country, Saab also entered into a joint venture with AVIA Satcom.

Saab Receives Letter of Award for Electronic Warfare System for Malaysia

Defence and security company Saab recently announced that it has received a Letter of Award from the Royal Malaysian Air Force for the supply of an ESP system (Electronic Surveillance Payload).
